SO SAD! FORMER ENYIMBA GOALKEEPER DIES ON NEW YEAR DAY

Chinedu Agwu, a former Enyimba and Kaduna United goalkeeper, is dead, Premium Times reports.
According to a close family source, Agwu died a few hours into the New Year, after a protracted illness.
The 30 year old, made waves while at Kaduna United but was denied first team opportunity after an ambitious move to Enyimba.
Late Agwu was a great penalty kick stopper as second choice goalkeeper, when Kaduna United upset Enyimba in a penalty shootout to win the Federation Cup in 2010, which later earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles that same year.
A former teammate of Agwu at Kaduna United, Balogun Kayode, while stating that he was yet to hear of the death of the goalkeeper, said he was aware of the illness.
In 2015, former Heartland and Kano Pillars forward, Abdul Haruna, died after collapsing on the pitch during a friendly football match between Kano professionals and a selected amateur team in Kano. He was 27 years old.
