Nigerians In London Protest Over Killing Of Shiites

Some Nigerians living in London protested outside the Nigerian High Commission against the killings of Shiites sect members in Zaria since December 12, Saturday.
The protest was organized by Islamic Human Rights Commission.
The activists on Sunday stormed Nigerian Embassy and wrote “Nigerian Army are killing unarmed civilians now” on the front door, floor and placards.
Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, commonly known as Shiite, have claimed that Nigerian army has killed many of its members.
However, the Army continues to insist that the Shiites attempted to kill Chief of Army Staff, General Tukur Buratai.

While the military and the government pledged to investigate the killings, the sect leader has expressed a lack of confidence in the investigation and has reported the Nigerian government to the United Nations Human Rights Commission.
